L.I.F.E. (Living in Faith Everyday) meets Sundays from 6 to 8 pm in the St. Vincent de Paul Room where we share a meal, discuss issues, celebrate our faith, and have fun. Each L.I.F.E Night will end by 8:00 pm so there will be time to get to that last-minute homework. It is never too late in the year to join us and you can bring your friends.
All 9th through 12th graders in the parish are invited to be a part of this amazing group of youth and adults. In the summer months we do not meet on Sundays, but do a number of camps instead like Totus Tuus, the St. Augustine Indian Mission Trip and a Steubenville Conference. Weekly meetings start the Sunday after Labor Day and go until the first week of May.
Steubenville STL Conference July 13-15 2018 in Springfield, MO.
Those who signed up for this year’s trip will soon be receiving the Release and Medical forms to be filled out as well as a list of upcoming meetings. To help with the cost of this trip, St. Vincent de Paul Youth Ministry will give a $100 grant to students who regularly attend youth group, Morning Glory, GRACE, or who are actively involved in other SVdP parish ministries (EMHC, Lector, Catechist, Choir, Ministry of Hospitality, Altar Server, etc.)
Additionally we will do a fundraiser similar to last year and those students who help with the fundraiser will get a portion of the money raised (approximately $50 per person last year).
Additional scholarships are also available directly through the Steubenville Mid-America Conference, contact the youth ministry office about that application.
“Transform Your World Evangelization Camp” will be held this summer from July 8-13 at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for high school students (graduating classes 2018-2021) to be trained by some of the nation’s top evangelists and is aimed at teens who are ready for the “next step” on the path of discipleship. This premier youth camp presented by Casting Nets Institute shows participants how to be effective evangelists and disciples that will be able to bring the Gospel to all they meet.
In order to make this opportunity more accessible, the Omaha Archdiocese will fund all of the registration fee except for a $95 deposit for any teen from the Archdiocese who attends. This year, there is an early bird deadline of January 15th, as well as a final deadline of May 1st to apply. The camp is expected to fill (and probably will do so sooner this year because of the early bird registration), so interested students should apply sooner rather than later.
Participants must apply online at http://castingnetsinstitute.com/apply-now. If accepted, you will be asked to mail a deposit of $95 to the Casting Nets Institute. Please note that students must coordinate their own transportation to and from the event.

Unlike the eUpdates, the text messages are a single, short reminder usually sent out on the day of a specific meeting or event. This year, SVdP Youth Ministry is using a service called REMIND to send updates about important information for the SVdP L.I.F.E. Youth Ministry (high school). You can sign up to receive reminders by text message or email.
To sign up for text reminders, follow the steps below:
You can opt-out of the messages at any time by replying unsubscribe@svdplife to any of the text messages received from REMIND.
Lots of ways to find out what is going on.
