Senior High

L.I.F.E. (Living in Faith Everyday) meets Sundays from 6 to 8 pm in the St. Vincent de Paul Room where we share a meal, discuss issues, celebrate our faith, and have fun. Each L.I.F.E Night will end by 8:00 pm so there will be time to get to that last-minute homework.

No matter which of the dozen different Public or Catholic High Schools youth attend, all 9th through 12th graders are invited to be a part of this amazing group of youth and adults. It is never too late in the year to join us and you can bring your friends. To register for L.I.F.E, complete the registration form found pdf here (142 KB), however you don't need to preregister to come check us out some Sunday evening.

In the Summer months we do not meet on Sundays, but do a number of camps instead like Totus Tuus, the St. Augustine Indian Mission Trip and a Steubenville Conference. We start our weekly meetings the Sunday after Labor Day.

Starting in October - Wild Goose Wednesdays

Last year we had a High School group that met on Wednesdays for a book study of the Screwtape Letters. This year we will be discussing The Wild Goose Project by Fr. Dave Pivonka, who many know because of the Steubenville Conferences.

Why “Wild Goose?”

Wild Goose was a term that ancient Celtic Christians had for the Holy Spirit because God was not someone who could be tamed or domesticated by man. It’s easy to presume that when you describe something as being like a “wild goose chase,” what you really mean is that it’s futile. In fact, the original “wild goose chase” referred to chasing after someone like a wild goose, something difficult.

The Wild Goose Project by Fr. Dave Pivonka is a simple attempt to invite Catholic Christians into a more profound life-giving relationship with the Holy Spirit. This series offers an invitation to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you on an adventure greater than you can imagine. “The Spirit will lead you to a place of mercy, healing, peace, and presence. The Holy Spirit has been given to us not as a possession to be tamed or controlled, but rather as a Person that will lead us to the Heart of God.”

Such is the power of the Wild Goose.

Oct. 29 – All Hallows Eve Party

We will be celebrating All Hallow’s Eve with a party for our 7-12 graders on Sunday, October 29. Lots of fun and games, with an emphasis on the Catholic approach to All Saints Day. Costumes encouraged, but appropriate, non-gory costumes only. Today’s current culture often emphasizes evil and darkness, we will be emphasizing the Hallow (Holy) in Halloween. We will start with a meal upstairs in the St. Vincent Room at 6:00 pm and the evening concludes at 8:00 pm.

Nov. 5 - Underground Church

High School and Adult Helpers needed to staff rooms for the "Underground Church” a Junior High Youth Rally at St. Robert Bellarmine (no Jr. High Youth Group that night). Underground Church is a fun game (like hide and seek but more intense), that opens the door to discussions about persecution of the early and current church and talk about the value of the faith that we so often take for granted. Help is needed to staff clue rooms, safe rooms, and hallway actors. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to help.
