BEGIN A NEW YEAR IN PRAYER: Lord, we thank you for the joys that summer brought to us. Bless our school year with your grace, mercy & love...Keep each of us safe & healthy, be with us in the tough times & help us always to make good choices. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION registration for students attending public schools in grades 1-8 for the 2010-11 school year is now open. We welcome new families to register now in the Religious formation office, 493-1642.   Please register before August 13 to ensure your first choice of classtime. 

Classes are scheduled on most Wednesdays during the school year at either 4:15-5:30 or 6:15-7:30pm.

If you would like information about serving as a catechist (RE teacher) or an aide in the classroom, or have questions, please contact Vicki Smith, smithv@svdpomaha.org or 493-1642. We look forward to next fall with you!

August 27 UPDATE:

**Technology is both gift & challenge...Unfortunately, cell phones are a big distraction during our 75 minute class time. Please DO NOT allow your child to bring cell phones, MP3 players, ITouch, etc. If phone usage is needed, they may use the phones in our office.

All unauthorized technology devices will be confiscated & parents will be asked to pickup. Thank you for your cooperation!

Our first day of class is Wednesday, September 1. When you come, please:

1. Grades 1-5 students should bring a ziplock with 2-3 pencils, 24 crayons and safe scissors.

2. Come in with your child(ren) even the 8th graders(!), and find their name/classroom number listed in the upper commons.

3. Proceed with your child(ren) to the classroom and meet the teacher and pick up pertinent materials.  

4. Proceed to the gym for the parent presentation. Students will join parents in the gym for a closing prayer service & dismissal.

Awesome Angel's Children's Choir begins soon:  available to all our St. Vincent de Paul Children in Grades 3 through 8.

The parish children's choir will sing once a month at Mass along with the Blessing of the Animals, Christmas Eve and First Eucharist liturgies.

Rehearsals: Practice's will be every Wednesday 3:15 -4:15 in the Church.
