Community Service Day

(September)
In honor of the feast day of Saint Vincent de Paul, the Outreach Committee coordinates an annual parish-wide service project.

In September 2017, we teamed with Omaha Against Hunger and Kids Against Hunger. These organizations mobilize volunteers to package highly nutritious food products through an efficient meal assembly system.

More than 200 volunteers helped set up for the day, assembled meals, carried heavy boxes of food supplies, and cleaned up the space! Special gratitude to Carly Barth for coordinating the day! Because of their service, we were able to make 40,176 Latin Rice meals for those in need in our nation. That’s 1,116 boxes of meals!
