The mission of Challenger Little League is to provide the opportunity for children with disabilities, from ages 6 to 21 years old, within the Omaha and surrounding areas to play baseball as a team player, create new friendships, gain independence and improve self-esteem.
The season runs from early May through the end of June. Most games are played at Keystone (just North of 120 & Maple) with end of the season games/party in July (last year was held at Werner Park!).
All players play every game with a “Buddy” to assist them during the game. Buddies can be family members or volunteers. For many years, St. Vincent de Paul Outreach has funded a St Vincent de Paul Parish team sponsorship and providing support for their end-of-the-season party.
Follow on Facebook (Challenger Little League of Omaha) to learn more about how you and your family can support Challenger Little League as a volunteer Buddy or consider attending a game or two this season.
