Alpha is a series of welcoming, interactive sessions designed to explore the core beliefs of the Christianity. Each session includes hospitality, a presentation on a key topic and guided small-group discussion.
Alpha is open to anyone—those exploring faith for the first time, those returning to the Church and those seeking to renew their faith. Questions and conversation are encouraged in a respectful, comfortable setting.
Alpha creates welcoming spaces where people can freely explore the basics of the Christian faith together. You don’t need to have all the answers, just a heart to invite people into conversation. When you sign up through MyAlpha, you will receive everything you need at no cost including a step-by-step guidance, training and resources to help you run your course with confidence. SVdP hosts Alpha Team training and an Alpha series onsight once a year so you can experience the course for yourself first. But Alpha is most effective when it’s done in a living room or a convenient place that is accessible and familiar to anyone you invite.
