Prayer is at the heart of our parish life and relationship with Christ. Our parish Prayer Ministry brings together several prayer groups dedicated to lifting up the needs of our parish, our clergy and the world.
Whether praying the Rosary together, committing to regular intercessory prayer, or responding to specific prayer needs, these groups offer many ways to grow in faith and serve through prayer.
Prayer Line
We want to pray for you! Those with a special need are invited to share that petition on the prayer line. Our Prayer Warriors then pray for these intentions throughout the week. If you have an intention for which you would like us to pray, contact Kelly Anderson, Pastoral Minister, at andersonk@svdpomaha.org or 402-496-7988. Recent deaths of parishioners and their family members are also included.
Prayer Warriors
Praying for others is a spiritual work of mercy. Volunteers are welcome to become a prayer warrior and pray for the petitions of the Prayer Line. Prayer Warriors receive a list of intentions for which to pray every week and commit to lifting up these intentions in prayer on a regular basis throughout the week. If you would like to become a Prayer Warrior, contact Kelly Anderson at andersonk@svdpomaha.org or 402-496-7988.
Rosaries
Join fellow parishioners in praying the Rosary together. The Daily Rosary Group meets after the 8:15 a.m. Mass Monday through Saturday in the Our Lady Chapel. There is also a Daily Rosary Group who prays via Zoom Monday through Saturday at 9:30 a.m. In addition to the Rosary, intercessory prayers are also prayed.
Every Saturday morning, the Saturday Morning Rosary Prayer Group meets at 10 a.m. in the St. Theresa Room to pray a combination of the Rosary and intercessory prayer. If you are interested in joining one the Rosary prayer groups, please contact Kelly Anderson at andersonk@svdpomaha.org.
The 31 Club
The 31 Club is a group of parishioners who individually dedicate prayers one day each month to those discerning religious life. Individuals choose the day of the month to offer their prayers for the vocations in our parish. Each member also offers to attend Mass and/or pray the Rosary for religious vocations of priests, deacons and men and women of the Consecrated Life.
