Altar Server

Altar Servers play a vital role in the liturgical life of our parish. By assisting the priest and deacon during Mass, altar servers help ensure that our liturgies are celebrated with reverence, dignity and prayerfulness.

Serving at the altar is a beautiful way for young people to live their faith, learn more about the Mass and serve our parish community. Altar servers gain a deeper understanding of the Eucharist while developing responsibility, confidence and a spirit of service.

Who Can Be an Altar Server?

Altar Servers are typically boys and girls who are 6th grade and up who have received their First Holy Communion and demonstrate deep reverence during Mass. Training is provided.

Why Serve?

  • Grow in faith and understanding of the Mass
  • Serve God and the parish community
  • Build friendships with fellow servers
  • Develop leadership and responsibility
