Gift Family

Gift Bearers play an active role in the celebration of the Mass by bringing forward the gifts of bread and wine during the Preparation of the Gifts. This simple yet powerful act requires no special skill or permanent ministerial duty, yet it is a beautiful and significant part of the Mass performed by lay people.

A family, single person, couple or group are welcome to sign up to bring forward the gifts of bread and wine that will become the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass. A special intention for a family member receiving a sacrament may be offered.

Who Can Serve as Gift Bearers?

Gift Bearers may be families, couples, or individuals of any age who are able to participate reverently in the procession. Children are welcome to participate with their parents or guardians.

Vocation's Crucifix

The Vocation’s Crucifix is given to an individual/family/household in the parish at a weekend Mass of their choosing. The crucifix is received after presenting the gifts at Offertory, taken home, and put in a place of honor. Prayers can be offered at any time during the day, perhaps before a main meal, or whatever time is most convenient. At the end of the week, the crucifix is returned to the minister sign-in table in the Gathering Space of Church.

If you are interested in being part of our Vocation’s Crucifix program, please sign up here. Indicate in the comments that you would like to receive the Vocation’s Crucifix to pray for Vocation’s to religious life.
