Safe Environment Training

All adults MUST be SAFE ENVIRONMENT CERTIFIED before being involved with our parish children in the school, religious formation, youth ministry programs or sports athletics.  For initial training, (first time only) you will attend a 2-hour presentation on important and educational information.  Prior to that session you will sign up through the Catholic Mutual Group Website at to register.  During this signup process you will be asked to set up an account and secure a password. Once that has been completed you will be guided through the curriculum and through the necessary sections which will also include a background check.  You may attend Safe Environment certification training anywhere within the Archdiocese.  Please see their website Safe Environment for dates and locations.

ONLINE Recertification is located at

Select the Omaha Diocese from the first screen.  You will need to set up an account with a password if you have not done so previously.  If you already have an account and do not remember your username or password contact Kay Buhrman at the Parish Office for help, do not make an additional account.  The on-line training will take approximately one hour to complete.  You will then be recertified for 5 years.  You will no longer be issued a Safe Environment card, your record of completion will be kept in the Catholic Mutual records.
